Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterized by delays or abnormal functioning before the age of three in one or more of the following areas: 1) Impairments in social interaction, 2) communication, 3) repetitive and stereotypic behaviors, and 3) restrictive interests and activities.  Communication deficits may include failure to develop speech, use of delayed echolalia, and difficulty with conversational skills.
