Auditory Processing Disorder

Children with Auditory Processing Disorders do not have a hearing sensitivity problem.  They have a problem processing the information they hear.  “Auditory processing are those things we do in order to obtain meaning from the information we receive through our auditory systems” (Lucker 2005). Auditory Processing has been described as “What we do with what we hear.” (Katz, Stecker and Henderson 1992).
